The intersection of history and technology

Hello Substackers,

For this week, we’ll be examining the interesting intersection between history and technology.

On Tuesday, we’ll look at the burning of the Library of Alexandria and how it dovetails with a possible future failure of our digital storage mediums of today.

On Thursday, we’ll examine how saved pictures from Cold War Era satellites are helping archeologists today find ruins from space. In other words, space archeology.
